A common goal of parents during the summer is to get their children outside to enjoy the fresh air and get in touch with their nature side. Here in Bucks County, there are a number of beautiful scenic locations and parks available for people of all ages to enjoy. One of these special spots is Peace Valley Park located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

Peace Valley Park surrounds Lake Galena where it offers boating and fishing for water enthusiasts. There are 14 miles of trails beckoning hikers of all skill levels. Bikers, walkers and runners have plenty of scenic places to burn off energy with the park’s bikeways and walkways. If you are looking to plan a gathering, the park has plenty of picnic tables, pavilions and restrooms.

In addition to the activities above, the park also has designed special areas for children to enjoy the park. There is a fun playground offering slides, climbing features and swings. One of the nicest things about Peace Valley is its Nature Center. This center hosts activities and events for families. It also has small wildlife exhibits and a nature library for curious little minds. Located next to the Nature Center is a bird blind, a small building designed specifically to watch and spot birds as they visit feeders. Up to 250 different species of birds have been spotted at Peace Valley Park making it a great place for bird lovers!

If your family is looking for a new place to explore, Peace Valley Park is a great option for a summer day trip!
