This is a personal favorite of mine for two reasons...it's easy, and everyone in my family likes it! For me that's a winning dinner!
Ingredients:
1 small onion, chopped
3 lbs. chicken breasts
1 Cup ketchup
4 Tbsp. cider vinegar
4 Tbsp. molasses
1 tsp. onion powder
slider buns or hamburger buns (your preference)
Directions:
1. Sprinkle chopped onion on bottom of slow cooker.
2. Place chicken on top of onion.
3. Mix ketchup, cider vinegar, molasses and onion powder together and pour on top of chicken.
4. Place cover on and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until chicken is tender.
5. Remove chicken from slow cooker, and using 2 forks, shred the chicken.
6. Add chicken back to slow cooker, mix with sauce, and then spoon into each bun to serve.
