Description
Saint Francis of Assisi is credited with beginning the beautiful tradition of a live nativity in 1223. Inspired by a trip to the Holy Land, he set up a straw filled manger and two live animals in a cave near the town of Greccio, Italy. He invited the townspeople to hear about the birth of Christ.
Come experience this beautiful tradition started by Saint Francis. The story of Christ's birth will be reenacted by SFA students and live animals will also be present during the Nativity. The story will be told through song, scripture, and prayer. All are welcome!
