Meet the Mompreneur of Ella G Boutique!

By Jennifer Guido, Owner of Ella G Boutique, and Traci Walter, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Lower & Upper Bucks, PA April 2, 2021

Hi! My name is Jen, and my husband, Mike, and I have two kids; Ella is almost 5 and Gabriel is 1.5 years old. I have my Master’s Degree in Clinical-Counseling, and I am a practicing, licensed marriage and family therapist. I work in a private practice setting, and when I was pregnant with my daughter, I decided to begin a new venture as a way to make some additional income during maternity leave.  I started as a retailer for a direct sales clothing company. For four and a half years, I focused on making local connections with other women. I participated in vendor events, community events, and had private shopping parties. I also developed a fun, interactive group of women in my Facebook boutique group.  It is my platform of marketing and selling, but the group is so much more to me.  The relationships that I have and even the members have with each other is really what I love most. In March 2021, I transitioned into opening up my very own clothing boutique, where I am most passionate about selecting items and styles for my shop that I know my customer base will love and that better represent my style.  I am ready for more control and freedom and to take my venture to the next level.

Who is Ella G?

I own a women’s clothing boutique, Ella G Boutique, which is named after my daughter.  I am located online and have a private Facebook group (always accepting new members), which is my main mode of communication and interaction with customers.  I also have a retail website: Ellagboutique.com, an Instagram @ellagboutiqueboss and a Pinterest account: @ellagboutique

I am located in Warrington, PA, and I also offer private, in-home shopping appointments. You may even see me at local vendor events again! I have a variety of women’s clothing available and am even starting to introduce some additional items into the shop (self-care products and seasonal products). I focus on finding good, quality clothing items that are both comfortable and trendy.  To me, I have found value in the confidence that stems from your outfit and style. That’s what I want to offer to others: a chance for everyone to feel more confident.  I want to build trust with my customers, and I will save you time from shopping and scrolling other sites where you never know how something really fits.  I love being a personal shopper where I get to know your style and make personal recommendations for the items that may work well for you.  I bring in those latest trends, those staple pieces for your closet, those must-have items.

The Beauty of Having Your Own Business Is the Flexibility of It!

How do I juggle being a mom and an entrepreneur? Simple - I have a nanny!! I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without childcare with my kids being so young.  I treat my business like a business and I work it, which requires focus. My husband is also very supportive and helpful in the business and a super-active dad and a general TCB’er (taking care of business) in all aspects of our home. I could not do it without him. My hope would be that you also have a good support system around you. My advice is also to put boundaries around time off of your business, the beauty of having your own business is the flexibility of it.  Finding that balance of unplugging and tuning in fully to your kids and family is necessary.

For local ladies, I host private, in-person shopping appointments.  Whether you want to pop in yourself or schedule a time for you and a couple girlfriends to unwind, try on various styles, have some wine and socialize - I want to create a casual and fun shopping experience for you.
